Uzbekistan Launches New Cultural Tour Routes

The Ministry of Tourism of Uzbekistan has launched a series of new cultural tour routes, aimed at showcasing the country’s unique heritage and attracting both local and international travelers. These routes connect Uzbekistan’s most iconic destinations, including Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, and Shahrisabz, offering a journey through centuries of history, architecture, and traditional arts.

Travelers can explore ancient mosques, madrasahs, and silk market streets, while participating in interactive experiences such as pottery workshops, traditional textile weaving, and cooking classes featuring local specialties like plov and samsa. Each route is carefully curated to combine sightseeing with hands-on cultural immersion, giving visitors a chance to truly understand Uzbek traditions.

The initiative also aims to support local communities by promoting artisanal markets, homestays, and small businesses. Visitors will have the opportunity to interact with craftsmen, taste authentic local cuisine, and experience the daily life of Uzbek towns and villages.

According to the Ministry, these new routes are part of a long-term strategy to diversify tourism offerings in Uzbekistan, encouraging longer stays and repeat visits. Travel agencies have already begun offering tailored packages, ranging from luxury tours with top accommodations to budget-friendly options for backpackers.
